Clinical Approach

I am a general practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience seeing a wide range people with various conditions. My goal is to understand the uniqueness of each person’s suffering and to provide truly individualized care.

The main tools I use are acupuncture (including all five channel systems: primary, sinew, luo, divergent, eight extraordinary), Chinese herbal medicine, dietary therapy, Qi gong and counseling.

I have accumulated a lot of experience treating chronic and acute pain.  I have specialty training in gynecology seeing a broad range conditions throughout the lifecycle, for example, painful or irregular periods, fibroids and cysts (including PCOS), endometriosis and menopause related issues.  A segment of my practice is devoted to fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care (an often neglected time that I take special interest in).  I also have special training in cancer care, and have experience helping patients and families in all stages of this challenging disease.  Another segment of my practice is dedicated to the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s, Dystonia, MS) as well as patients with unclear diagnoses (including Lyme & related tick-borne illnesses, Epstein-Barr, CFS).  I also have much experience treating psycho-emotional issues such as anxiety and depression. Above all, my goal is to see each person as unique and whole, and offer to them individualized, compassionate care.
